Last Tuesday I received an sms from my child's school. I caught by surprise because the school had closed for the holidays.
"What could want, now?" I thought.
L 'school was calling for a special meeting with parents to decide on new school bus service.
The meeting was a Sunday so I went. When I arrived at school, there were several hundred fathers assembled there. I know they all had received a similar SMS.
The director began the meeting with an official speech to indicate the purpose of the meeting and then ask us to proceed to classrooms our children and teachers meet with their respective classes for future discussion.
When I met the class teacher of my son, was list with a file that was a record performance of my child during the past two years. She started to congratulate my son for his excellent year and pointing out areas where there was an interest or was exceptionally good. Then went on to mention the extracurricular activities undertaken by the school to help students further showed interest in certain areas. Most of these activities were on Sundays, or after school hours.
She then continued to the point that since my son travels to school in our car, we may be wasting much time and effort just left school and to lift it after school or these special sessions, and again.
